These peculiar creatures of Arizona's subterranean environments, often called cave crickets, are commonly camel crickets classified as the genus *Ceuthophilus*. Individuals thrive in dark and damp conditions, like caves, foundations, and stony areas. Different from typical crickets, Arizona cave crickets have diminished their ability to jump effect
